Emma has over 15 years' experience working with children in the performing arts. She herself was a performer and is still involved now as a theatre director. Her performing arts school Theatrebox gives children the opportunity to explore and express themselves through acting, singing and movement. Emma strives to give the children an innovative all round theatrical experience. Emma has worked with young children for many years and is currently our music therapist in all of our Prepare Classes.
Emma currently works with our therapists in our Prepare Program Kinder classes. She has an amazing ability to connect with a wide range of children and works on attention and engagement through music. She is available for individual sessions that include your usual therapist and the inclusive of Emma. The aim of this method is to help enhance the goals your therapist has set for your child.

Emma also specializes in private singing lessons. Teaching students of all abilities how to explore and enhance their own vocal capabilities. Singing lessons establish techniques in breathing, correct placement, articulation and projection in a fun and supportive environment. Lesson consist of vocal warmups, specific techniques and a choice of song. Emma offers a wide selection of material for the students to sing from pop songs on the radio to musical theatre and beyond.
The AMEB Music Theatre Syllabus is available to those students wishing to complete formal voice examinations. Students are encouraged to perform throughout the year at midyear and end of year vocal recitals should they wish. Parents often comment their children gain an immense amount of confidence using their voice to express themselves through song.
Students gain self-enrichment and enjoyment from finding a pathway to connect with music and song. Parents of younger students often find their child's literacy improves through the reading and singing song lyrics. Whilst their articulations and pronunciations improve through detailed vocal training.

Musical theatre is a wonderful activity for children who enjoy singing, dancing and acting. Children will learn basic theatre dance choreography and singing that will revolve around a final showcase at the end of the year. Some of our past showcases have included Annie, Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat, Oliver.
The program is supported by a number of assistant directors who are skilled at various aspects of theatre and child development. The children are encouraged to be creative in a safe and fun learning environment that nurtures their creativity and imagaination.
