ChatterBox Australia Therapy Services is a one-of-a-kind Paediatric Therapy Centre that offers a leading, diverse and experienced multidisciplinary Therapy teams in Melbourne. We have a proven and well-established reputation of over 15 years and are known for our unique Group Therapy programs. 

Our vision is focused on creating a therapy centre that is inclusive for all children and parents, providing a holistic approach to treating children and teens with a wide variety of diagnoses.

A fantastic NEW opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic Paediatric Speech Pathologists to join our diverse and unique team.  

We are looking for

  • Speech Pathologists(any experience)

You will enjoy the advantage of working in multiple areas of treatment, working with toddlers, preschool and primary school-aged children and teens; all with a range of developmental delays.  

As part of our team, you will have the chance to work with a range of other professions under our ChatterBox Creative Arts Academy and Natural Health Solutions including Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama, Dance, Yoga, Naturopathy and Remedial therapy.  We also have some affiliations with businesses in the USA.

  • Business Management Team - this crucial part of ChatterBox, oversees all our finances and Policy and Procedure Manuals in order to ensure consistency and transparency throughout our centre. This team also provides peace of mind for our team members for financial stability through periods of lockdown or restrictions due to COVID. Also offered are above award wages.

  • Flexibility - you will have the ability to provide therapy via a variety of settings and platforms, including face-to-face sessions, group or online tele-health sessions.

  • Negotiable options - Part-time & Saturday work and the option for late shifts are available. Online sessions for therapists that need to work from home is also an option i.e., parents with young children who are keen to return to work or even therapists who find it difficult to travel or live-in rural Victoria.

Requirements 

Proven experience working with children with an ASD within a clinical environment 

  • NDIS Worker Screening

  • Registration with SPAA

  • Working with Children Check

  • Group therapy experience (advantageous)

Are you our next Superstar?

Chatterbox Australia Therapy Services is one of the most well known clinics in Melbourne. We have the a very large clinic room in Bundoora that boasts a feeding room, large gross motor room, sensory room, and full classroom as well as therapy rooms.

We are looking for

  • 1 x Full Time OT

  • 1 x Multiply OT’s interested in shifts 3pm - 8pm and/or Saturdays (We are flexible with shift times and days)

The Role

Be part of an exciting NEW projects in 2021 that will see new innovative therapy approaches and state-of-the-art group therapy facilities. ChatterBox has a mission to keep up with the most effective and evidence-based therapy ideas for treating children and teens with a range of childhood diagnoses. We are passionate about helping teenagers and young adults become inclusive and successful community members. 

We require enthusiastic Paediatric OT’s to join our friendly, highly skilled team. The successful applicants will enjoy the advantage of working in multiple areas of treatment. They will work with toddlers, preschool, primary school aged children and teens with a range of gross, fine motor, sensory, feeding, ADL’s and developmental delays. You will be able to experience working in our array of groups and specifically our pioneering program – The Prepare Program.

You will get to work alongside and learn from our ChatterBox Creative Arts Academy Staff which includes; a drama teacher, music therapist, art therapist, dance teacher and yoga/wellbeing therapist.

Our newly appointed Allied Health Manager is highly skilled in a variety of areas and is onsite - full time - for your support. Our team meets regularly for daily lunches, team meetings, discipline team meetings and onsite training for therapists. 

Skills and experience

  • The applicant MUST have a minimum of 6 months - 1 year working in a paediatric area.

  • Graduates are encouraged to apply HOWEVER please ensure you have had paediatric placements in your final year OR paid/volunteer work in this area.

  • The applicant MUST have experience working with children with an ASD within a clinical environment.

  • Experience in group therapy is a plus.

  • The applicant MUST have a working with children check and provide a successful police check.

  • The applicant MUST be registered with AHPRA.

  • Immediate start.

Salaries are determined by competitive market value depending on experience and skills.
